68,922 students enrolled in Tech Prep in the state of Texas for 1997-1998 (grades
9-12) to 156,430 students enrolled in Tech Prep in the state of Texas for 2007-2008

Over
half (1078) of the state's 1873 associate of applied science (AAS) degree programs
are Tech Prep, articulated with one or more high school career and technical education
programs. Of these programs, 115 (14.1%) are Information Technology, 142 (17.5%)
are Health Science, and 160 (19.7%) are Business, Management, Administration,

There were over $45 million in potential equivalent tuition and fees saved by
Tech Prep students in Texas and $44 million in potential contact hour reimbursement
